Murals in Northern Ireland

Murals in Northern Ireland have an international reputation and have often been flashed across television screens around the world to highlight a news story here. We work closely with councils, agencies and communities to produce large public artworks, often replacing old paramilitary murals. For the last 2 years we have been heavily involved in Arts Council N.I.s 'Re-Imaging the Communities Programme' facilitating projects in Derry, Portadown, Lurgan and Belfast. Engaging directly with stakeholders in the community is paramount to the success of any project as we aim to not only leave behind a creative legacy but also a sense of ownership and civic pride.

Graffiti Art Workshops

Re-Ink-Our-Nation use some of the best mural artists in Northern Ireland to travel throughout the country providing graffiti art workshops aimed at groups and communities. Murals in Northern Ireland are a very important part of our recent cultural and political history and are an excellent way for groups and communities to express themselves. Workshops last from 2 full days to programmes of several months. Our workshops are an excellent way of engaging with young people who are often on the margins of society or socially excluded. Intertest in aerosol art in Ireland is on the increase and we provide an artform that is relevant to their age and to their youth culture in a safe, creative and non-intimidating environment covering all aspects of graffiti and aerosol art. Graffiti workshops typically start with a slideshow and go on to tips and tricks, fades and shades as well as character and letter development. All participants are encouraged to contribute to the programme equally regardless of perceived artistic (in)ability. Ideas are just as important as being able to draw. Our graffiti workshops also cover stencil making and other forms of urban art.

Our Artists

All of our artists have many years experience of creating murals in Northern Ireland and working with groups of young people through our graffiti art workshops. Each artist has a current Access N.I. police certificate for working with children and vulnerable adults and all have 3rd party public liability insurance of up to £5m. Our paint is lead and cfc free and all empty cans are correctly disposed of within a council re-cycling facility.

Please check out our Mural Galleries to see examples of our work.
